Véronique Dumont
(Studio Founder / Master Trainer)
Véronique’s first Pilates Method experience was over 12 years ago to relieve back and posture problems when she worked at UCSF’s Center of Excellence for Women’s Health. Pilates had improved her posture and overall physical condition so much that she decided to enter Ellie Herman’s Pilates teacher training program. Véronique graduated in 2004 and began teaching in Paris and then in Brussels where she managed a studio and became a certified Pilates Teacher Trainer under Master Trainer Kelly McKinnon. Before founding Soulful Pilates, Véronique worked at UCSF's Mission Bay Physical Therapy Department where she gained practical knowledge by observing patients with various physical conditions. She also studied pilates-based physical rehabilitation with Lizz Roman.
Véronique focuses on helping students build strength, gain freedom of movement through improved flexibility and balance, while keeping classes dynamic and challenging. She has enhanced her training by learning from renown bodywork experts like Eric Franklin and is also a Balanced Body University Pilates Instructor through this internationally recognized program. Véronique expanded her knowledge through an intensive Pre and Post-Natal pilates training program with Stephanie Forster. By 2012, she became a certified CoreAlign instructor in all three levels and integrates this natural movement system into her private pilates instruction. She completed the Pilates Sport Center (PSC) Barre training in 2012 and most recently became a Master Teacher Trainer from the PSC's Pilates Master Teacher Training Program. Véronique is a PMA certified Instructor.
Soulful Pilates is now the San Francisco PSC Training Center and offers a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training for aspiring instructors.
Véronique is very excited about offering a wide range of Pilates-based training programs to clients at the crossroad of the upper Haight/Ashbury/Cole Valley neighborhoods and appreciates the contining support she has received from the community.

Diana Broker
Diana was first introduced to Pilates as a modern dance student at San Francisco State University. After realizing how beneficial the method was for maintaining core stability and spinal alignment, she carried the practice with her into the world of professional modern dance. She was certified as a Pilates trainer through the Integrated Teacher Training Program in San Francisco in 2008 and continues to teach at various studios in the city.
When not teaching, Diana can be seen performing, reading, enjoying nature and studying anatomy. She is grateful for the ability to share her love of movement and well being with her students.
Wanda Leonard
Wanda discovered Pilates to heal her back pain and repetitive stress injuries she encountered from years of working in the restaurant industry. Even though she had always been quite fit and active, she had muscle imbalances and a weak core. Pilates directly improved these weaknesses allowing her road to recovery began. She was moved by this process such that it sparked her desire to learn more about how the body works and to share this knowledge share with her clients. She believes that people of all ages and shapes can benefit from Pilates.
